Easy FTTP install

Very helpful OR fellows. I didn't really want wires on the outside so they pushed the cable through the air brick, I feed it across the loft, down through the workshop and into the garage where my network cables are located. Well sorted
Only problem is OR has opened orders before the system was test and there is a fault on the main incoming cable to the village. Hey ho..

Much the same as my install, dropwire/fibre run to customers internal location.


What sppeds are you contracted for?

That ping is a bit on the high side -> is that tested via WiFi or direct into your router or the ONT?

It’s by no means worryingly high, just higher than what I’m used to seeing. Indeed ping times will depend on where you are in the UK as it’s distance related. So if you are in Scotland or NI and are pinging servers and speed testers in the south east (say London based data centres) then your ping will be higher than someone located much closer to those servers.
