No optics fault

[link to this post]

Hi all , thanks again for your help on my previous question.
Gigaclear now been in for a while and worked fine til yesterday. I lost internet , raised a query and it's listed as ' No optics' , engineer coming Wednesday.
Was just wondering if someone could explain to me what the fault means , just curious.
Sounds like a poor connection somewhere? In the pot maybe?
Not trying to fix it , I'd just like to understand.

Thanks for reading.

No light getting through to your Gigaclear router basically: it could be a break or bad connection/splice anywhere along the optical path from the distribution to your home. They should be able to find it and repair it quite quickly.

Haven't seen it yet but by all accounts who ever installed it , bodged it in. Put a connector under the slab apparently as cable too short! [censored]!
So still without internet 😭
