I'd rather cables be buried, looks nicer but less change of weather brining poles down or a car hitting on.

Next you know Kcom will be out digging up as they are in the area too.

I remember before ADSL was installed in Wootton the campaign for the wireless internet out there.

Not a difficult village for BT to sort surely, the exchange is in reach of most houses there.

This has resulted in unnecessary digging up of the roads , as it pushes up the cost of installs.

Could be worse. I had to PAY to have a duct cleared.. £420!

OR wanted £2,280 to install a new swept tee connection for us. Then they came back for extras which we argued about but eventually relented on.

To add insult to injury, Cadent promptly came along and smashed it up 6 weeks later when the neighbours has a gas leak into the conduits. The entire street was dug up in sections. Happens all the time in London apparently.

Cadent then replaced the entire gas main. More digging. Took me another 12 months to get it all repaired.

[censored]-show.

What were the circumstances behind this charge, please? I deal with these things on a few levels and am wondering why this ended up with an end user?

That is very, very strange. What were the circumstances behind this charge?
