Thanks for the info, yeah using the sky router connected directly to the pc, the only other thing that is running is a cctv system, although the pc is about 5 years old.
Only time i get to test the speed is in the evening due to work.
Guess i should be happy coming from a long fttc line that was 22Mbps and couldnt stream 4K and would take hours to update the Xbox!

@candlerb advice above is excellent.

Depending on what precisely the PC doing CCTV-wise, it could be a large enough processing load (especially if it 5 years old) for it not be able to saturate a speed test at gigabit speeds.

So I'd tend to agree that could be the machine you're testing with rather than the connection. This is a fairly common problem, especially at full gigabit speeds and hardware that isn't lets say 'spring fresh'.

...so basically try and test with another machine.

Just a quick update,
So i have built a new computer and now getting these speeds on the checker, thanks for all your reply's, its made a whole lot of difference!!
