I'm sure there must be more than one person with that view, what I would say about Adrian/zyborg47 is he is an extremely honest decent guy (apart from his views on Covid and FTTP) smile

I can understand you liking my views about Covid, but FTTP? I have said it is a good thing to be happening, we need it in this city, just trying to work out if I need it, I admit i may have gone on a bit much about it, but that is me, once I get something between my teeth, no idea why, but I am what I am.
A neighbour have had zzoomm so I have been told, so I will wait until they have tried it for a few weeks and then ask them how it is going.

What difference would that make? You either need/want it or not!

Can I not be interested to see how it is going?

I had a leaflet yesterday, with are you ready, ZZoomm. on smile, I also had another letter from the TVL at the same time asking if I will be in on a certain date, again, maybe they will turn up this time.

Anyway, i may change my mind at some point, at the moment I can't see it, but you never know, 9 months is a fair time, anything can happen. Also, I just like to be nosy and see how they are getting on with it, I am sure I will bump into them while i am pushing the bike though their garden or when they are taking their gigantic dog out for a walk

And your neighbour says that it is extremely reliable and fast. Would you then bite the bullet?

I presume it is fast, but as I have said before, 36Mb/s which I have does what I need it to do.
I can understand why they went for it, they have two, I was going to say teenage, but they are past that, just about, anyway, two daughters living there, so it will be ideal for them, also the man of the house does some work at home.

We will see what happens at the end of my plusnet contract, depending on how much more expensive things get.

stupid people smile i would not mind a bit more money, not millions, but I would not refuse it, but enough to live nicely.
Would it change me? Not who I am, but it would certainly change my life and i can help other people

i would not turn down a faster internet speed if they could do it with what I have got, no mucking around with pulling cables around and people in the house and keep the same price I am paying now.
but will a faster internet speed make much difference? No, not really, I will be able to download some stuff a little faster.

I presume your upload is around 10 Mbps ? Many people need faster uplink than downlink, but I often work with files of 2Gb and larger and my 200 / 20 Mbps cable connection saves all that waiting around and trying to explain to the boss why I'm waiting (and can't do anything else)

Most people don't, what do most people upload? You are correct, my upload is 10 Mb/s, well 9, but close enough. Maybe next year I will need a faster upload, but at the moment I don't.
I went out this afternoon and there were a lot of ZZoomm vans down one of the roads, so I presume there was a lot of people getting zzoomm, which is a good thing, I hope they do well, but it surprised me as i thought a lot of people would still be in contract.
I have had another leaflet, but I think this one was hand-delivered. 9 months is a fair amount of time, anything can happen between now and then. I will see closer to the time.
