Re: Two FTTP Connections/ Different Suppliers

Not sure if this warrants a different post or whether to continue the thread. Anyway as very related and concerns the same property, I will ask here:

I have now placed two orders: a non-business, consumer FTTP 900mbps package with Zen and a business Soho1 FTTC order with Andrew and Arnold.

Is this perfectly fine (as it involves different technologies?)
or could it lead to issues?

You should feel free and unencumbered to order as many discrete broadband and other services as you see fit / your wallet sensibly allows.

What gives you the impression that this would be somehow problematic?

Thanks for the response Pheasant - as to your question: “What gives you the impression that would be somehow problematic?” Nothing specific - just a question born out of ignorance around the technologies involved and the regulations pertaining to its use. Moreover, past experience has taught me when it comes to broadband (as to most things in life, unfortunately) where things can go wrong, they often do go wrong - not always, though, thankfully!

OK.

Rest assured that ordering multiple terrestrial services from the same (or indeed multiple) physical network provider(s) - in your case Openreach based - is (a) normal, though possibly not exactly commonplace. (b) neither endangers, breaks or threatens any commercial, technical or service performance boundaries.

In summary; if you need it, simply order it. 😃
