The law does impose limits on the number of premises served FTTP (and other gigabit capable networks) using Huawei kit to 35% of all premises by the end of October. But of course this has been known for several years. The deadline keeps getting pushed back.

I guess that means it doesn't impact FTTC, but who knows! Thanks for the link.

I would guess that figure can be easily achieved by building out new areas rather than replacing any existing OLTs.

I know it is not 5G, but I thought Huawei had to be removed from all telecoms and broadband equipment, not just 5G.
