Depends on the router the CP supplies you with. I read the new Plusnet Hub 2 has a bridge mode. Virgin Media's router for example (Hub 3 and later) have phone sockets and modem mode. Using your own router doesn't disable voice services. Other CP/ISPs with less good hardware will cause the double NAT...In reply to a post by Michael_Chare:Will customers still be able to use their own routers other than by double NAT?
Or you forget the idea of a 'landline' which myself and many households have done.
