In reply to a post by Wilfx:
I received an email from Openreach last week giving me an update on their Ultrafast Full Fibre build. They’ve said they have reviewed their build plans and they can’t deliver Full Fibre to my address.

Same for me, despite intense recent FTTP activity in all the surrounding roads.

No hope of a decent AltNet because Virgin have already fibred the area, and our road, and I'm not touching them with a barge pole (See my other post in this thread)

I had the same email a couple of weeks ago. Today i have had another email from Openreach saying the last email was sent in error and now my street is back on their build plan. I have checked today and now full fibre is showing available. Hopefully will be the same for you and others.

I’ve just been sent an email from Openreach telling my my address is back on their build plans as well! So happy days!

How did you check that full fibre is available at your address?

I had an email from Openreach on 7 March saying they've added me to their build plans.
Then a sad update on 5 April:

We’re getting in touch to update you on our Ultrafast Full Fibre build. We’ve reviewed our build plans, and currently we can’t deliver Full Fibre to XYZ

There are lots of reasons for why our plans change - from engineering hazards to access permits. We review our build plans regularly as circumstances change. We hope this is just a temporary setback and that we can bring XYZ back into our Full Fibre build plans in the future.

The only options here are miserably slow 70Mbps FTTC or always-broken Virgin Media (What I am on now).

Many people here would be very grateful for that, and have to live with much worse.

16/1.2 here and there's some around here who can't even get adsl.

That's very miserable, they shouldn't be grateful for such pathetic speeds and hope for real broadband speeds of at least, say, 250Mbit. Shows the dire state of the country's internet industry frown

Probably best to move at that point, sorry to hear that.
