FTTP on road

[link to this post]

Hi
We live on a smallish estate.
Openreach seem to have enabled fttp from certain poles but not all
Seems very strange they have done some and not all
Is there a way to find out when the rest including the 2nd half of the road will be enabled as its been like this since start of this year at least.
Checking the Openreach checker it doesn't show any date or anything.

Originally on <n>ildram Broadband Pro (2mb)

then - Orange - Virgin - Sky LLU - EE - BT - SKY
Now - Utility Warehouse (TalkTalk LLU)

Its a minefield frown

No easy answer sadly although you could get some evidence, use the BT Wholesale Checker (you only need to populate the postcode field then go through each address) to figure out what properties on your road do have FTTP available to order and what ones don't.

Enter your details to this form and with the comment that you cannot order FTTP while your neighbours can and see what they say.

Checked various houses on the road and emailed Openreach.

also checked and the exchange is listed as
Stop Sell Date for Copper: 04-Jun-24

Does this therefore mean that from June 2024 they will have moved people across as this seems to contradict a response I got from Openreach that seems to say they are upgrading network from January 2025?

The stop sell of copper is only applicable where FTTP is available - if you can't get FTTP then you will still get copper but if you can get FTTP they won't sell you copper.

While stop sells are announced on an exchange basis, whether they have any effect or not is down to the individual address.

If FTTP isn't available to an address then the copper stop sell has no effect on that particular address.

The exchange being listed as stop sell starting in June 2024 does not mean all addresses on the exchange will have FTTP by that date. It's an absolute certainty that won't be the case.
They still haven't got 100% coverage in the very 1st trial area.
