If you wish to switch to Aquiss FTTP from Zen FTTC why don't you simply order the FTTP and once it is functioning, commence a port of your geographic telephone number from Zen to your preferred VoIP provider? Won't this cause the FTTC to cease.


That's exactly inline with what we ourselves will advise pre-sales customers on, in this situation.

yes porting a number to a voip provider will cease your internet connection(adsl/vdsl2)

Yes, I can now confirm from personal experience that this is indeed the case. Today we received two emails; one from the gaining VoIP provider confirming the date future date of the telephone number port in and another email from the losing provider confirming that broadband on that line will be ceasing.
