EE IPV6

[link to this post]

Hi,

I have just signed up to EE broadband, FTTC as we are still in the dark ages here.

I forgot to check when ordering, does EE support IPV6 and what size prefix do they delgate?

I assume the prefix will be dynamic as most of the major player seem to insist on doing?

Thanks

Mike

Hi,

I got connected this week. The IPV6 prefix is a /56 and is dynamic.

The EE Smart hub is a bit disappointing, the specs say it should be a capable router but the user interface is so dumbed down as to allow very little configuration. Not a problem I've gone back to using my openwrt router.

Mike

Static is provided as standard by AAISP, Aquiss, Cerberus, Zen, probably other smaller providers like iDNet. You'll get a /56 from most, /48 from AAISP.

If this is important to you then you may be able to cancel your EE order prior to installation.
