Constanly lost connection

[link to this post]

Connection is broken every 2 hours since yesterday, but it will be all right after reset the Live box. I am wondering if Orange block P2P or not. Since every time while I start running P2P programs, the connection will be broken after a while. I didn't run during peak time (6pm to 11pm) and it should be ok . Could any body tell me what's going on?

As far as I am aware there is no P2P blocking on Orange. It could be that your internet connection is becoming unstable when you pull higher data rates causing your router to resync.

What Product are you on Adsl MAX or LLU?

Hi, i to am suffering the same problem as you.

Im with Orange, not a P2P user just the odd big download now & again & plenty of on line gaming.

Last night two dropped connections between 8 - 9.30 right in the middle of games. Livebox seems to reset itself after about 5 mins. I must say the livebox connection record was 5 days, darn thing never stays connected for very long.

Im now at the point of telling Orange to shove it but need to find a way out of their 12 month contract. I am an original freeserve member & am at whits end since downgrading to adsl max. Oh how i wish i still had my rock solid 2meg connection.

Been trying to call Orange tech support since 8am & they are on overload of calls, maybe everyone is getting dropped connections???

im sure if you explain to them the definition of broadband is an "always on connection", and quite obviously its not meeting your requirements as it is not always on, then really you should have grounds to cancel.
