Orange / maxdsl probs

Hi,
Been with Orange aka Wanadoo aka Freeserve for ages with no probs.
They recently increased my sync speed from 2mbps to 8mbps - presumably my line has been LLU'd - and I'm now getting frequent disconnects, with crappy download speeds etc.
(I connect with a Speedtouch 510 router, but same thing happens if I use a USB modem).

Haven't got around to contacting Orange yet, but when I do will they be willing to reduce my sync speed back to 2mbps?
If not, which ISPs still offer 2mbps sync speeds with no download caps?

If you call with a line problem on Llu there is a good chance your line speed will be downgraded
