ip profile stuck

Connection mode : G.DMT
Type : Fast
Noise margin (dB) : 24.6
Attenuation (dB) : 44.0
Attainable download rate (kbps) : 7648
ADSL status : Connected [0]

Downstream Upstream
Rate (kbps) 2272 288

i have been stuck at this speed for over a month, i could previously download at 6mb
orange indian call centre engineers working on it but sod all is happening.
i believe my ip profile is stuck any ideas?

You are and on a fixed 2Mb line. In theory that could be either LLU or IPStream. From the stats you could get around 6Mb. The profile is not stuck that is what they have put it on.

You will have to ask Orange why.

just been told by call centre that 2mb is my most stable speed,asked for my mac code cancellation dept give me the customary1 month free. was informed that there was a fault on line 2 months ago that was not closed. they are nowgoing to re-grade my connection to 5 mb should take a few days, will have to wait and see

i know what LLU is but what is IPStream?

These are BT products bought in by Orange.

Was told on todays call that there isn't a fault on my line but that there is a Broadband outage across the entire UK, it happened about a month ago, engineers are working on it and I should call back in 3 to 5 days.

I'm on an LLU up to 8MB connection.

ring up customer services from orange mobile its 150, 2, 2, 4 tell them you want to cancel you will then get put through to 2nd line team support, 1st line support is india,just ask for your connection to be re-graded then see what the engineers do at the exchange, should hopefully work
