Flashing @ light

[link to this post]

Hi, one of our neighbours has had no internet connection for about 3 weeks.
I have just been to have a look and the wireless connection seems to be ok to the livebox with a good signal, but there is a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark to say there is a problem.

The @ light is also flashing slowly on and off, is this correct or should it be on all of the time??

Sorry but i know nothing about the livebox as i am not with orange but any advice i could pass on would be appreciated.

Thank you.

SLOW FLASHING @ ON LIVEBOX:

That could be either invalid username and/or password or PPP server down.

Re-submit username and password to connect.

Another way which often works is to turn everything off for 10 minutes.

Then turn the Livebox on followed by the computer.

slow flashing light on @ symbol, means either the drivers for livebox are not installed properly or the livebox is not in sync with the dslam. (adsl equipment in bt exchange)

the livebox doesn't have any drivers! it's a hardware router!!!! slow flashing @ light means it IS in sync, just not logged on to the server. as was previously said, it's either a username/password error or PPP server down. don't confuse people with misinformation. it makes you look daft & is of no help whatsoever to the OP

Problem solved, after turning off the livebox then back on, apparently some page opened on the computer with some boxes that needed checking, then hey presto internet was up and running.

I dont know what the boxes were or why they should appear after it was previously set up, but i was asked to pass on thanks from the neighbour for the kind help
