So what better ISP's are there for someone on a Market 1 exchange with no usage limit and under £30 per month?

I have only been with Orange 3 months which I know isn't that long but so far I am very happy with them, the connection is very reliable and download speeds are the max my line is able to do, speeds only drop for a few hours in the evening (to about half) which is acceptable to me. Pings are good. I get all this for £32 a month which also includes anytime calls and line rental.

Spotify rarely falls back to P2P. Most of the time it uses a dedicated server. Time to move to a proper ISP!

haha, yep! I am just waiting for my street to get BT fibre, then will be looking at the options! Was meant to have it by December just passed, but now it is delayed until June... hopefully won't be delayed past that!

As for spotify rarely using P2P, I can imagine that is the case, but also, I would imagine that even if it just uses a little then it is flagged up and any data it consumes would be limited speed? I don't know the inner workings at all, but that's how it would seem in my mind!

Yeah I hope it can be resolved. I have been considering one of these streaming services such as Spotify so thanks for bringing this up as I was not aware they used P2P.

No worries at all, I figured not everyone would know, I had guessed but wasn't certain until told by them.

Charlie -

AFAIK BT also throttles P2P traffic.

not working for me as per usual.. songs may start streaming eventually but it takes ages. At the moment it can't load any artists pages nor even what my friends are listening to. My broadband provider is due to change in under a week so will see if it works then, I presume it will wink

Ouch... not much longer to wait then!

You using it in a special way? I'm just streaming some songs on my iPhone (but using wifi not the mobile web data). I love the service - gets addictive!

Never Assume (it makes an ASS of U and ME)
AFAIK most ISPs also throttle P2P traffic at peak times.
