Orange Bright Box router now changed to EE

Orange Bright Box router now changed to EE and Fibre settings have appeared.

Go > Advanced Set-Up > [Accept] > migration wizard

This afternoon I rebooted my brightbox router and it changed the colour scheme from orange to their EE pale green and the Fibre setting appeared, also a mobile broadband page.

Does this automatic update depend on the TR069 module function being enabled?

Is it possible to supply this new firmware as an ordinary download?

Almost certainly. TR069 is responsible for checking and updating firmware.

yes the firmware update is deployed via the TR069 remote management protocol and it sounds like its deployed over night and for the next few weeks

You sure of which one? Cuz the BrightBox has both a TR069 module function and a Remote Management function separate from each other.

I thought you would be interested as well as Fibre changes to the firmware, we have added

MTU to 1500 for PPPoA,
increased the number of devices that can be reserved IP adresses
offline mode for reserved IP addresses
