Cancellation charge

With the recent changes (June 2015) to the migration procedures when moving from one ISP to another, will my move from EE Home Broadband to Virgin Cable network still incur a cancellation (cessation?) charge ?

If this is the case then presumably I will be charged again if I want to go back to a FTTC provider in the future?

Are MAC codes of no use at all now?

MACs were never used when migrating to cable, so a cease charge is applicable, and always was.

Apparently it is the new provider that requests the MAc code now anyways, so that shouldn't be an issue for the customer.
