EA are starting to price their games at £60 now, which is rather... excessive...
Which games and where? Fifa 15 is £47.99 in Game and that is one of the biggest if not the biggest EA game of the year.
Thats £59.99 more than you normally a pay at present according to my calculations
I don't care as I don't generally buy EA games as they are generally sports related ....

Wouldn't pay 0.99p for it never mind anything else.....just my hatred of sports games in General.in fact if that's all there was to play I wouldn't bother .....Period

I'm not a fan of sports games either other than Fifa, Fifa is absolutely quality! The mechanics, the game engine, the graphics on Xbox One on an LED screen are phenomenal! It's just a really fun game for me, but I'm massively into football too so I guess that helps

Sims 4 - £50/£60
Fifa 15 - £50/£60
Battlefield Hardline - £50/£60
Dragon Age - £50/£60
And this is all from Origin... And they used to say that downloading would be cheaper...

I love footy Jaxx but Sports games don't interest me regardless ,the only thing I ever had a craze for was 1080 Snowboarding and Wave. race 64 on the Nintendo 64 if you class those ....

No game is worth £60 of my money
I second that mate.

Indeed - £50 is really pushing it too...

£50 for a quality single player game which has a campaign of at least 30 hours and lots of replayability, full included content no DLC, and you know before you buy is good from the playable demo not such a big deal.
But in an era where we rely on hype from biased media, and the DLC can cost more than the game, and single player campaigns are not the primary focus anymore I think yes £50-60 is a joke.

Those games are priced at their RRP, if Origin and Steam sold at a similar price to say Amazon and key sellers then they would wipe out the market competition.
Games are sold between cost price and RRP, digital can be cheaper then physical copies on alot of platforms.

Seems someone should tell Sony And Microsoft that Digital copies are cheaper because I'm afraid there not.

Yea that's crazy, you seem to pay a premium for downloading. It's the same on Origin as it is on Xbox Live. You can download Fifa for £54.99 or go and buy it from the shop and have the actual disk for £47!

And you can get the PC version for £40...

And you can get the PC version for £40...
Or the top of the range Gaming PC for the same money......
Anyway Toady it would be really good to see you buy Far Cry 4 when it's released and do us a video of a game that's new and not bargin basement retro stuff.....

Going to buy it for me then?

As long as the game is sold for more then cost a profit will be made, how much comes down to the individual store- higher price more profit.
Their are plenty of highstreet and online options to buy games alot cheaper then what they are sold on the offical stores- ie PS4 owners buying from the US instead of UK online store.
Its up the to console users to use online distribution more, the more sales the better the competion as the market will shift online.
