L4D2 - Released via Steam

Well downloaded it yesterday and played it last night as steam users that purchased it that way had the ability to play it as from the 17th Nov.

Had a lot of fun being the infected, I admit I have grown to like cod mw2 more over the last week or so, but still nice to have a new game. Still learning on how to attack the best with the charger & jockey but the spitter is great, especially if you can "spit" in a restricted place the survivors have to go through.

Will be on there a bit more tonight giving it some boomer bile and tank bashing, one of my clanmates is right pee'd off as he has ordered it off play.com and they won't be releasing it until Friday

On a side note - there is already a way to level up to level 70 prestige 10 on codmw2, someone sent me a link on xfire and surprisingly enough it works.

By the looks of a number of the servers this is now wide known across more than a few players as there are an increasing number on level 70 prestige 10 - don't tell me they've done it already by playing constantly since the game was brought as we all know that is bs.

I do not condone cheating in anyway, inc wallhacks or aimbots etc, this is something that always winds me up about games and ends up stopping me from playing on them.

I'm excited about L4D2 I'm going to pick it up this weekend and have a bash! In regards to the COD cheat, what's the point? Surely once you are the top level or whatever there is nothing else to achieve in the game? You just play the game for top kills then, no fun in getting the challenges and getting as much exp as you can in a game etc. Maybe I'm too traditional but it just seems like a way to waste the experience of multiplayer. Even if you don't play it that often, you will probably be playing the game for a good 6 months and in that time I'm sure you'd get to 70!

I agree with you and your not old school at all, all part of the game is improving the weapons and leveling up, gives some structure to it. Trouble is more and more players are now popping up on level 70 prestige 10.

It is sad that it is already the situation, but every server I joined if I saw some level 70 geek is running around shooting the hell out of everyone it was a wind up.

I think I am going to concentrate on l4d2 anyway, like I said previously haven't been overly impressed with codmw2 although its been a bit better the last week or so, but still there was the video on youtube of someone hacking and now the level 70's are popping up everywhere.

It is bad when a game that was only released a couple of weeks ago and already these level up back doors in place.

Yea you're right, it's poor Hopefully they will get some kind of patch released for it soon, luckily I play on the 360 and there don't appear to be any problems like this, although some people have found glitches to access certain places on maps or underneath it like you could in COD WAW, I just don't see the point in cheating! People must really care a lot about winning, but how they can feel like they have achieved something I have no idea!

Yea will do, I know both my younger bro's (11 & 22) have ps3's and have been playing on codmw2, both love it, my dad nearly banned Eliot - 11 as he read about the hostage situation being quite serious? I haven't played single player so don't know so he has logged in and turned the parental control onto max I think! lol

Eliot did show me a couple of the glitches he had found or seen other people using, but like you say it is mainly people using glitches to up their kills which is not fair at all.

I will certainly let ya know about l4d2, maps are looking good and the zombified clowns are pretty scary Also the sound of the charger grunting when they spawn is a little tense when you have the volume right up.

Finished the single player today which is a very short experience but very entertaining and a great playthrough.

Getting more and more addicted to Modern warfare 2 but i feel that unless you really start levelling up and getting better weapons on some maps you just become cannon fodder.

Probebly went and done a daft thing also and bought the xbox 360 version to go along side my playstation version im playing.

Yeah it sounds crazy but i have many more buddies on the xbox live service and if i am totally honest i do like the xbox 360 controller.

Anyway once i levelled up considerably i will play through the 360 version.

Will more than likely end up getting L4D2 on Friday along with assasins creed 2 that seems to be getting decent reviews.

Might also get the New mario game for the wii if i can be bothered to unpack the console and all the bits and bobs that go with it,

It already looks like Spaghetti Junction at the back of my television so i might just pass on the mario game,trouble is when i am in a game shop then things get hard to resist...............Just ordered the japanese version of Bayonetta for the playstation 3 which is right up my street..............Demo was very sweet.

Lke you said depends on who you play online the mist with, whether that be the PC or xbox 360, I do like the xbox 360 controller, but only use it for Grid - racing car game.

That new mario game is pretty good as long as you liked the classic 2d mario games, its like a cross between SM3 and SMW.

It is NOT strictly a 4player game, but it is there and it adds a bit to the mileage.

Bayonetta looks much better (graphically) on 360. as for l4d2 im not so sure id rather play it on pc and im not sure if the card i have in my pc atm will run it at atleast 1280x720 so im going to wait till they have it cheap or i upgrade.

Source engine is incredibly friendly to low spec PC's but you will probably have to check how low it'd go, try grabbing the demo and seeing how it runs, that and checking on the steam forums for tweaks to run in different direct x modes.

When it comes to valve games its always worth getting them on PC due to mods, community stuff, events, patches etc the whole lot.

As for L4D2 i'm waiting until christmas for a chance at the 50% sale like they did on L4D1. I'm not paying £27 for it, there isn't enough new stuff IMO.

And yes I agree with bayonetta, i'm not buying it personally but the graphical comparison gametrailers did was somewhat shocking.
