Re: Black Ops What we should be doing for starters

[re: jorkila] [link to this post]

You know i was saying to Nelly and his mate last night as much as i love this Zombie mode seriously i haven't got a Scooby Doo what I'm doing if I'm honest.

Like you said Jorkila they play it and make it looks simple but its a severe struggle to get past level 8,and thats what we achieved last night with both Nelly and his friend better than me on many of the goes we played.

So many rules and regulations as to when to collect the max ammo at the appropriate time, and then leaving a last zombie and collecting the necessary acquired points total to progress .

To be honest i have got to level 6 on my own,it was a one of as i don't generally get past level 4 as these zombie literally start running.

Think the game is a lot tougher than the previous ones from the brief time i spent playing them.

So many collectables to progress to other areas i find it pretty confusing and not easy to figure out when and where and what the hell I'm doing.

This game is extremely tough and I'm saying it as it is,i don't claim to even be slightly good at it either,I'm watching countless videos about what you are supposed to do,what you need to collect and I'm still in the dark.

Watching some of these Veteran Black Ops Zombie players know there way around the map like they been playing it for months,i take a single gate and I'm completely lost.

Tried the multiplayer briefly and it failed as predicted to inspire and i won't be playing that again,Zombie mode yes but i do get frustrated.

To be honest once Fallout 4 drops tomorrow and her in doors goes on a business trip to Dublin for 4 days then i think quickly Cod may be taking a sidestep as my Focus will be Fallout 4 and Rise of the Tomb Raider.

All of the things that Nelster said are correct and don't worry too much as once you have explored the map a couple of times it does become a lot simpler.

The best thing to do is to get yourself a crawler or a runner around wave 5 to 7 and then spend some time wandering around learning where the perk machines are, learning the map etc. At the start (Round 1) it's best to shoot the zombies in the chest 4 or 5 times then stab them. Round 2 you can shoot them a few more times then stab them or shoot them the same number and stab them twice. You build points quicker that way and it's a good boost at the beginning.

I prefer to keep a runner than a crawler, it can be quite a pain throwing grenades trying to get one crawling and they can just randomly die sometimes which is a HUGE issue if you are all off doing different things (using the box, buying perks etc.) The best way to keep a runner is to save one alive at a window and one of you just stands there boarding it up constantly while the others running around doing what they need to do, once they have got everything sorted then one of them takes over for you and lets you go and do your stuff.

You should be using the box early on to try and get yourselves at least 1 good weapon (a 500 round LMG or a super weapon like ray gun). Once you all have 1 good one each then you can buy Juggernog & Speed Cola, they are the 2 most vital perks in my opinion. Do this before you bother pack a punching weapons!!!

Double tap is nice, but it's not really needed until wave 20+. It just wastes ammo in the earlier rounds. Quick revive is also nice as it's cheap but not an immediate requirement.

On Der Riese / The Giant the best place to stand is the walkway at the top of the room with the teleporter. You can survive until wave 35 to 40 there, after that you're on your own as we usually start to struggle and end up falling apart wink

Matty and did 11 levels, then died because he set an electric trap whilst running away from the boss man. Trouble is, I was still behind him! laugh

I really don't know how people are getting to level 30 in this iteration. The last Der Reise, definitely round 30-40, but not this one or the even the one before it with the windmills!

I got another tip.........Give up its Cod and nothing has changed and its to dam difficult to be slightly amusing or interesting.

Its funny as i have not seen any of the people i played with like Nelly and his mate and a fair few others playing Zombies a week later, seems to have quickly lost its appeal to be fair.
