To switch provider or not?

[link to this post]

At the moment I am with EE, I pay them £25 per month which gets me unlimited downloads, 7mbps and free evening and weekend calls and includes the BT line rental. I have been with them 3 years now, not had any major issues apart from speeds can be slow in the evenings, Every time my contract is up I end up renewing as I can't find anything cheaper or better.

I live in an area with no LLU at the exchange so line rental is going to always have to be paid to be. Is there anything on par or better than EE?

Plusnet?

Same BTw platform, far superior CS and cheaper. Unlimited Broadband and W/E calls : £19.50 for 9m incl. line rental then £24.50. +£5 for Anytime Calls.

Why do you keep renewing? Don't you just let contract run on with 1m notice?

Hang in tho'! What exchange? PN prices depend on classification of exchange.

Neither! W/E stands for Weekend.

PN recently changed the inclusive calls from W/E & Eve to W/E.

Ah, OK! It was worth a shot.

But you are in their dearer, Market 1, area so it's £3.50 dearer in the 1st 9m and £7 dearer thereafter than the prices I quoted.

They only in last few days stopped doing inclusive Eve & W/E Calls.

I think you have a typo there?

It doesn't show on the website, but Evening and Weekend Calls on Plusnet is still available, but only appears during the signup process. £1.50pm.

There is also a Line rental Saver option. If you way the year up front it is £131.88. That doesn't include the normal Weekend calls, but the E & W at £1.50 is still available. A slightly confusing Table 15 on this page.

Connection - Plusnet UnLim Fibre (FTTC). Sync ~ 54.2/15.2Mbps @ 600m. - BQM

I am sorry, but I think you are stupid. I was responding about no evening calls from another supplier, with the fact that evening calls AND mobile calls are inclusive with the Post Office. Something you then incorrectly contradicted, so one of us is stupid. One guess only! If you bother to read my post, you will see I did not call you stupid, but simply requested you wake up and pay attention.

Once again, what you actually said was "Evening, weekend and mobile calls included here." There is only one way to interpret that in standard English, which is evening calls, weekend calls and calls to mobiles. You have even done it again in your latest post: "evening calls AND mobiles are inclusive". Do you really not understand?

So am I. As I said, I was simply trying to point the OP to a supplier that still offered evening calls as well as W/E in it's package, also mentioning that the PO also included calls to mobiles. I did not state the inclusive mobile calls were 24/7. I then get a reply of 'no weekend mobile calls here' pointing to my link and all hell broke loose from there. Like a game of football, two can watch the same game and see a different one! Anyway, really have better things to do now it's stopped raining.

I apologise for replying to the wrong post here, but later posts do not have the option, possibly because of a suspension. I think I have finally worked out what happened here, professor973 appears to be comma-blind and read "No, weekend calls to mobiles, which isn't quite what you said" as "No weekend calls to mobiles which isn't quite what you said". People often protest that spelling, grammar and punctuation isn't important on forums, well sometimes it clearly is. I thought that my emboldening made it pretty clear what I meant.
