SNR / Sync Speed Issue

[link to this post]

Following a drop in my sync speeds and a report of a fault, now marked repaired, my modem connects at 5632 when I reboot where it used connect at around 8k. So I am wondering if the Sync speed (set by the target signal to noise margin?) will take a while to recover much like the profile speed does or if my connecting at a slower speed could indicate a problem on the line still?

Here are some stats:
Test1 comprises of Best Effort Test: -provides background information.
IP profile for your line is - 1000 kbps
DSL connection rate: 448 kbps(UP-STREAM) 5632 kbps(DOWN-STREAM)
Actual IP throughput achieved during the test was - 885 kbps

ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 5632 kbps 448 kbps
Line Attenuation 31 db 8 db
Noise Margin 13 db 25 db

Thanks for reading ,Shaun

Looks like your isp or bt have turned interleaving on and boosted your snr which will be the cause of your lower sync and speeds
What was the fault you had with your connection, if was because of disconnects then thats why they have boosted your snr to try and stabalise your line

IP profile for your line is - 1000 kbps is your biggest problem, if that hasn't increased in 3 days time then you'll need to chase the ISP.
