Sync rate fall

[link to this post]

I've just noticed that my sync rate has dropped from the full 8mb to 6688 kbps, but my noise margin/attenuation have remained the same at 11/33db. Upstream remains at 448kbps

I have a Netgear DG834Gv2 which is hardly ever restarted or disconnected from my ADSL phone line. Any suggestions as to why it may have dropped?

An increase in the noise levels, the displayed margins probably havent changed as you appear to have a 12dB target noise margin.

Does it sync higher if you resync it during the day?

I wouldn't know - I'm not working from home too much at the moment so I don't get an oppurtunity to try
