Upgrade

I live in France ,Orange has recently announced that the broadband will be expanding to 100 meg in January. Is this possible on copper wired telephone cables? Or do they just mean for people in the main city areas? I live out in the sticks and the fastest download speed I obtain is 240 klbs a second, which is abysmal.

Almost certainly for cabled areas only.

ISPs do like to talk up speeds even though only a selected few can achieve them. C'est la vie.

You can weigh the data you receive in a second? 240 klbs is about 120 tons. I doubt I receive an ounce in a month.

190? You have your random number generator set a bit high. Then there is metric, long or short tonnes.

That was a deliberate transposition to see if you picked it up! And you did refer to tons - 2240 lb and not long or short tons or metric tonnes.
