BT usage allowance

[link to this post]

I have received an email from BT informing me that my monthly usage allowance has been exceeded.

In fact the usage reported is nearly double my 10GB allowance.

Is there a programme which I can download in order to monitor the broadband usage? I emailed BT but they telephoned me to tell me that theyhave no such programme

Try Netmeter from http://www.metal-machine.de/readerror/ . It has to be on a per PC basis.

If you have more than 1 computer/printer on your network you should be aware that data transfers between them may be included in the statistics produced by these monitoring programs.
