WIRING HELP PLEASE

hi guys

im looking to get some help please, i was woken this morning from a phone call from my dda telling me he has pulled his wiring out of his junction box, as he explains it to me this is the wiring that come in from the outside to the junction box and then leads off to the bt phones sockets. what he needs to know is how the wiring is connected to the junction box please.
from the outside to the junction box he has..
1 solid orange
3 solid red
1 solid green
1 solid white
1 solid black

any help with this would be great

Ignore the 3 reds. These are steel support strands, not conductors.
Orange/White is the first pair and usually carries the initial connection.
Green/Black is the second pair and is used to for a second conenction (or can be used instead of the first in some circumstances),

Connect the White/Orange pair to the wires that connect to terminals 2 & 5 in the NTE5.

can i just ask just incase he needs it what would be the wiring coming out of the same junction box to the bt socket.

It should be a blue with a white stripe and a white with a blue stripe (forming a pair) that go from the junction to the socket, although the colours may be different depending upon the type and age of the internal cable used.

To check, remove the complete faceplate from the NTE5 and look at the wires connected to the A & B terminals inside.

HI,THE PROBLEM I HAVE IS THAT THE WIRING HAS BEEN PULLED OUT OF THE BOX COMPLETELY.INSIDE THE BOX ARE 3 SCREW DOWN TERMINALS AND 3 PUSH IN TERMINALS.SCREW ONES MARKED A B EARTH. PUSH IN LIKEWISE.MARKINGS ON THE BOX IS RC910.206.O AND A FUNNY SYMBOL HOPE YOU CAN H3ELP.THANKS,SUTS DAD.

I HAVE FOUND THIS ON THE INTERNET COULD YOU CONFIRM THIS IS CORRECT.

The screws A and B connect to the external phone line. The push in terminals connect to the internal phone line.

Hi, you should have two wires coming in from the outside connected to your NTE5 master socket, one to (A) and one to (B).

The polarity is not essential but if needed B wire 50v DC to earth and A wire 0v DC to earth. Only two wires are used to the extension sockets terminals 2 and 5, terminal 3 is the bell wire for older telephones not required now for modern digital telephones, the links below will help you with your telephone wiring.

Note that these RF filters are bad for ADSL. They will severely limit your bandwidth

The image is not of a RF Filter.
It is a BT80a, which is a simple connection block to allow different types of cable (e.g. internal and external) to be connected together.
