IE8

I am running Windows7 on my Acer laptop and when I log on to IE8 I get the message that I am visiting MSN USA from a country that has a local site.
I have the choice of UK or USA so I tick UK and request it to remember my choice but despite this it always comes up when I open IE.Any ideas?.

Presumably your home page is set to the USA site.

Try changing your home page.

On the tools drop down menu select Internet Options
at the top of the General tab is the text box for your home page(s)
Enter the address(es) you want to come up every time you open IE8
(For multiple home pages simply put each address on a new line and they will open in tabs)

Log on to "IE8"?

You mean open it?

Have you set your Home Page? Tools >> Internet Options >> Home Page-use current after getting to the UK page.

I wasn't nit-picking or trying to be a SA. I was covering the possibility you were a complete newbie and were actually talking about something else. Strangely enough, that does happen .

For example, you could just as plausibly been logging into MSN from inside IE8, in which case the problem would be to do with your ticking the Remember box not working for some strange reason.

Unfortunately in the past I have come across SA's and it does tend to put some people off using a good site.
