opendns

Well I've just given up with OpenDNS.

Been using them for sometime now but the last couple of days they have been unreliable. Anyone else noticed this?

I've not noticed any problems with the sites I access. Any particular problem?

All web sites stop working, well all the ones I have tried. OpenDNS servers were set on my speedtouch router so all devices were affected. Switched back to O2's primary DNS server and have Google DNS (8.8.8.8) as secondary now.

OpenDNS seems to work ok configured manually on my PC. Maybe it's just my router being 'silly'.

There were no outages in the last 30days. It's your hardware.

Or perhaps O2's routing to OpenDNS's IP's...

Might switch back to OpenDNS again now as I know they are working atm and see what happens. Don't really like the idea of Google knowing everything I search for plus every DNS request I make.
