Re: Plusnet Router

[re: deleted] [link to this post]

I find it hard to believe that anyone gets a good line from a Plusnet router. Ours has never worked and they admitted that they have "issues" with this Thomson kit. I can't use a personal smtp server and I can't upload to an FTP server. They actually recommended that I buy a lengthy Ethernet cable and bin the router - honest, but not what I paid for. We're off to BT.

Any known problems should have been resolved with the latest firmware builds so I'm surprised you've been told this?

Odd because I've never had problems running hosted services behind this router? Namely an FTP server, media sharing software, VNC and Windows Remote Desktop.

Is it a v8 or v7 model that you have and what firmware revision is it running?

Rgds,
