It is also too consistent to be caused by amateur radio transmissions ...

In reply to a post by MHC:
Can you do a full RSL plot showing Up and Dn Sync and SNRs over a full 24 hour period with 30 second updates?

Check this out, loads of plots (5 min periods), Excel spreadsheet, exchange maps (~2MB) zipped info

Had a problem on the line yesterday afternoon (completely dead line) so took the opportunity while disconnected to install the DGTeam firmware onto my Netgear DGN2000 - tweaked the noise margin down by a few db and almost doubled my connection speed with (so far) no errors smile

Nothing obvious on those plots to suggest any strange burst forcing your speeds down. The late afternoon and evening drop is almost certainly something being turned on either in your property of close to the cables. You may need to walk to route back to the exchange to see if there is anything that might cause it.

73's G7SYV de G3UZF.

Bet that short opening message will confuse the posters!

Have been QRT for years now and no shack. Don't see any fun out of it anymore as the Internet and Skype etc do me well.

Also, saved thousands £££'s on not needing a transceiver, linear amplifier, tower, 3-element beam and crotchety neighbours complaining their TV receptiom is being bombed.

ARSK ..

Hi-hi OM...

I've recently gone QRT as well, the shack went about 3 yrs ago shack pic, was just running an 857 mobile when I moved here but that's now gone....
It's my partners house so I knew before moving there's no chance of a tower or much else here - that nice wooden pole with the overhead electric cables at the end of the short back garden has ruled setting up a shack frown

-.-
