The catch (as with the area I started to discuss) is that not all cabinets will be
enabled, and there is no apparent schedule for an all cabinets-completion date.

So they only need to enable the exchange, rollout a selection of cabinets
and the exchange is marked as FTTC. Even though a significant potential
customer base remains un-FTTC'd. I know my area with a 4Mb max and
ADSL only, so is ripe for some higher speeds. It is hardly an below average
income area.

Do you seriously think BTW do not know what exchanges OPENREACH will require enabled? If you do you are seriously nave. They may not be handed a list but they will have enough information to know with a high degree of accuracy what is going on.niave

And you have evidence of this?

Latest Rollout list. What BT seem to have done is added more exhchanges to the existing future rollout list. THey do not appear to have identfied which are new

Only just got around to checking this and Brackley isn't on that list. Seems a bit weird since they(*) seem to be going around marking up pavements to indicate fibre runs and even drawing the outlines of new cabs.

Carlisle is however and that's a recent addition. Could this just be exchanges that are proposed and we've now moved off this list onto 'in progress'?

(*)It could be invisible pixies. No-one I've talked to has seen Openreach doing it smile

Andre
Changes to the list are that Stamford is now LIVE, and Dobwalls, Gunnislake and Widemouth Bay are now coming soon.
NO additions.to 'Future exchanges' but 18 moved from coming soon to accepting orders.
New live sites are:-
ALLERTON
BARNSLEY
BEDWORTH
CHELLASTON
CHESTER CENTRAL
CUDWORTH
DAGENHAM
FINCHLEY
GREAT OAKLEY
HATCH END
KESGRAVE
KNOTTINGLEY
LEYTONSTONE
MARPLE
MIDDLETON, GREATER MANCHESTER
PEARTREE
ROYSTON, SOUTH YORKSHIRE
SKELMERSDALE
STAMFORD

Coming soon is a mess as 27 show on both it and the live list! I think only the 3 mentioned above are new on it.

Andre

Brackley was always on the 'Coming soon ' list March 2012.

Remember 3 lists
Accepting orders (634 Exchanges)
Coming soon ( 286 Exchanges +27 already on accepting orders)
Future exchanges ( 349 Exchanges )
