Throttling?

Are others experiencing very low connection speed? I have observed a large drop in my speed certainly over the last week, is this a ploy by the ISP to encourage users to upgrade to the imminent Fibre Optic connection now becoming available? When the FO becomes available will this affect the normal ADSL connection?

Which ISP are you talking about? Have you posted this to the wrong forum section?

FTTC should not affect ADSL speeds.

What are the router stats?

Is it because fibre is a more modern method and doesn't give off intereference (crosstalk) to existing ADSL lines ?

Any cross talk from VDSL should not affect ADSL services to a major extent, i.e. no more than the cross talk already present from ADSL and ADSL2+

There is a possibility that it will.

Remember that a VDSL signal is added to the cable a significant way from the exchange where an ADSL signal will already be attenuated by, in some cases 40 or 50 dB so the relative level of cross talk will be higher.

Hence the ANFP and the limits that imposes on VDSL2
