They do 80/20 for new customers. It's just not widely advertised.

Why do I need to bother ... Any BT product will be faster than 20mbps and by a very large margin.

The maximum upload any BT product offers on FTTC is 20mbps. BT advertise this as up to 19mbps.

You alone seem to think otherwise, contrary to BT and Openreach's own websites, so if you want anyone to believe you, prove it.
