hi every 1  ive joined up to the icm research broadband panel & was wondering how long it lasts for ?

I think the research is likely to be an ongoing thing, as tracking performance needs to be done over a fairly long period of time to actually be useful.

Hi
I have also signed up, and have installed my box yesterday. Does anyone know if it is possible to view the results of the tests like on the SamKnows panel I've heard about?
Also does anyone know how much data this uses and whether it is likely to trigger the STM on the VM XXL package?
I have emailed ICM but not heard back yet.

The one I've seen appears to be around 2GB a day, not privy to the algorithm used, so may be more, may be less.

I've had mine running last night, its been 10 hours since Install and its used 1.2gb of data...

The company sends out cheques automatically within a couple of weeks of connecting the device.
The cheque goes to the address where the testing device went

I suspect similar mechanisms will come into play as used for SamKnows and the ISPA testing we run, in that some ISP's add extra GB where they have allowance mechanisms to cater for this.
Looking at the provider list they were after, most are unlimited anyway.
