The device tests every hour (mine does it at half past the hour) and interestingly they said it won't test if your using your connection but even when I'm downloading at full speed it still tests.

Although I've emailed them regarding wifi it appears there is no point in installing the antenna as wifi is disabled so it can't tell if your using wifi despite what the instructions say.

the instructions SAY
please do attach the aerials to the device this simply allows us to detect when you are using the internet and we will not run a test at the same time .

where does it say that you can use the device wifi or say anything about wifi ?? me thinks you should have gone to spec savers

Thanks for the helpful reply,

How does attaching the antennas make it see that your using wifi and thus not run tests when It's been noted on here and on the sky user forum that it still runs tests even when your downloading or using your connection so something is clearly wrong with the software or the instructions are wrong.

I'm also on the test and have noticed that it always runs it's test while im using my connection, and yes I have attached the aerials and I only use wifi apart from my Sky Anytime+ which is connect via LAN - and yes it still tests when I'm downloading from that as well.

Same here, emailed last Friday and no reply - good idea about unplugging it - I'm gonna do that now, when they notice maybe they'll get in touch.

Thanks
