One thing is for certain it runs it's tests when your using your connection, which of course is going to give false tests as it'll indicate there's conngestion when actually there isn't.
I was considering giving my details in order to get the modified router, but from the sounds of it I might not. Having said that, I did get a swift reply since I was concerned about my personal details and habits being sent as part of the study.
I've signed up for this, and they don't respond to emails unless you chase them up
I got the following response after asking whether it is possible to see the results of the tests.
"Hi David,
Apologies for the late reply!
We shall be sending out a newsletter email shortly in which we will share your broadband speed with you.
Many Thanks for getting set up,
Conor"
I thought it would be like the SamKnows one where you can check the results on line, I'm a bit disappointed that you can't do this.
I think the reason for the slow response from them is that the tester seems to be from a company called Epitiro, I've noticed the Email address on the leaflet was different from the ICM research one, seems to be a newvistalive.com address.
Mine also seems to be testing my connection while I'm using it.
Isn't Epitiro the one that has a tie-in with tbbMeter?
