Hi Everyone,

Apologies for the lack of information recently, we had it confirmed that the panel will not be renewed a few weeks ago and so we have been working out the best way to wrap things up for you.

We have begun to send out a firmware fix which takes off our testing software and returns the device to factory settings so it can be used as a router. I know quite a few of you were interested in holding onto it at the end of the trial, this should mean you won't have to do any tinkering to start using it.

The device should download this automatically if your device is correctly connected. We were not sure how soon this hotfix would be ready which is why we hadn't let you know in advance.

If you do not wish to keep the router, please send us an email and we can send you a pre-paid return envelope in which you can send it back to us for re-use.

Many Thanks for your participation in the trial,
Conor

Hmmm,
so it wrecked my network today, turning itself into a dhcp server, dishing out Ip addresses with routes to nowhere.
It was already back in its box before I saw here the trial is over.

Don't know...

But it seems the device I have hasn't been testing my line for a while now, since 16th Oct to be accurate.

I've had no e-mail so had assumed that the testing had come to an end.

How can we tell when the router has been re-flashed?

Thanks,

Richard

yes, many thanks. They could have easily taken a different route and claimed them all back.

Can't get onto mine. Might just bin it... frown

So was there any point in this whole thing? Will we see some interesting results published?

Indeed, seems like a few speed test emails is all we'll ever have. Nothing that we couldn't have got by using our existing kit! Oh well, the incentive cheque and the free router has made me a happy bunny, just need to get home and secure the wi-fi and switch it into a new AP smile.
