Not very impressed with this. My phone and network disk stopped working because of the new dhcp server. The least they could have done is send out a warning email first.

Realised this morning that there was an unsecure TP Link router broadcasting in my wireless connections list, I thought who would be stupid enough nowadays to use a router without security, then after checking it out further I realised it was the test router from ICM. I am furious to think that I have been broadcasting my network to everyone and their dog, not only that but the fact that you can gain access to the Sky router as well by being connected to the TP Link. Only by looking on here and another forum did I find out that the testing has ended. Why the hell were no warning emails sent to advise people that they would be resetting the router back to factory firmware.

Reading the post, which may or may not have been their official position sounds like there was an option to keep the router if you wanted to.

If someone wants to forward me a scan of the letter I can see exactly what it says, and we can perhaps chase for a clarification, particularly for those who might want to hang onto the router.

Also sounds like we have to pay for the return postage and then they'll refund us later. Not too keen on the sound of that tbh.

I'm far from being a lawyer so I stand to be corrected, but I don't think they can insist on that.

It's their property, supplied as part of a trial which would involve you in zero expense, if they want it back that badly they can either send you the parcel equivalent of an SAE or they can arrange for its collection by a courier or similar.

As I said a scan of the letter and I'll take a gander and we can chase ICM collectively
