Re: cease fee llu migration to fttc

Sorry, I was quoting the answer to a query which I didn't post here. I had asked why they wanted me to cease ther service when I was migrating to another provider (from xilo/uno MPF to Plusnet FTTC c/w voice) - the answer was I would be "ending the bundled service, not actually migrating ".
Hope that makes more sense.

Looks to be the case. Was just wanting to "do the right thing" by xilo/uno since they've been very good. Just this "cease" fee for something which they won't actually be charged for themselves irks.

What I'm really bleating about is whether Xilo claim this cease fee is a recharge from Openreach in which case I'm dubious or if it's just Xilo charging just because they can, in which case it's my own fault for not checking the small print.

I wonder if it is a TT Business charge passed on, not an Openreach one (via C & W).
Edit - underlying CP corrected.

It's a Talk Talk Business product I'm on not C&W but just have to wait and see. Will have something to say if Xilo claim they are just passing on Openreach fee. As far as I can see that shouldn't be the case but as mentioned earlier if they are just charging for "admin" purposes then so be it.

This is a MPF cease, so that service physically ceases and is a charge.

TTB charge for the cease - we charge you and that has always been how the MPF cease has been charged.

Maybe I should have said nothing to xilo.

For MPF, it would have happened regardless because the service ceases. It's good you told us early so the notice applies from then, instead of when we're told by the gaining CP.

So is that an Openreach charge Matt, or a TTB one?

Openreach should not be charging, but if TTB do in any case then that explains it.

It's a TTB circuit, so I can't tell you what Openreach may bill them.. but it's a charge they raise when a service ends regardless of how it ended.

We charge it accordingly and the rate differs within 12 months or outside of 12 months - and we bill exactly as we're charged.
