The downstream attenuation is pretty low, I would have thought, and there's enough head-room in the noise margin. Still, I admit I'm no expert.
Actually, I doubt if it would help on its own. A physical connection between the TV and the router might help a great deal, however, and some extra attenuation from an extension cable might be a price worth paying.
The real problem is that, even with the router stats, we're shooting in the dark. It's often the case with unspecific performance problems.
