Re: UPDATE Getting another line installed

I don't see that happening, Plugged in the landline and the interference i heard was pretty bad.

Plugged the phone into the test socket and the interference was gone, i assumed it was the socket itself but when i assembled the nte5 socket back up and plugged the phone back in it was gone, no interference, i don't have a clue where the interference is coming from/did come from

No interference since but when i did plug in the phone to test it thats when my router stats went crazy and dlm put me on the 2mbps profile.

Any clue where the interference is originating from/did.

You were correct, my ip profile returned to 6mbps but still receiving these random connection faults, i done 2 speed test within a 2 min period and here are the results, 1 of them just shows ip profile, download and upload but can confirm the ping was 230ms, but the test i done after it shows my stats look fine for my line, doesn't make sense.

The BT Wholesale speed test is not really geared up for constant speed testing better to use http://www.thinkbroadband.com/speedtest where you also do no need to both with the hassle of loading result to an online store to share.

Just received sse router today, i would like to use my own and don't want to plug in sses as i've seen some terrible reviews of it and in a cottage with thick walls so don't want to be stuck with it for 10 days while the line stabilizes, Can't seem to find any info on router itself or in the box.

contacted them for username and password if they have one but they had no clue what i was talking about, Anyone know it?

You can inspect and possibly configure its setup without connecting to the phone line. It might be relying on TR-069 so not have the username/password configured yet.

ah so it'll probably auto configure when i plug in there router, i've been through the router settings without plugging it in the socket but couldn't find much, very simple layout.

guess i'll plug it in, Don't think 1 disconnect and reconnect is going to mess with dlm to much

You'll still have a job getting the password from it. Some routers will optionally display it, but I haven't seen many.
