understood but the truecall box is surely only supposed to pick up what runs through the box... so calls to it and from it... surely it shouldn't be able to pick up calls made from beyond it... so say from the PCP!

I don't see the problem with that.

Calls were made using the line, and the numbers were picked up by the (no doubt Openreach-certified) equipment. The fact they seem to be private Openreach numbers, possibly called by connecting to this line at the PCP, doesn't look to me like a major issue for Openreach.

Though I wouldn't recommend publishing these particular numbers once I'd established what they were. Which is why the post was deleted.

The indispensable man or woman passes from the scene, and what happens next is more or less the same thing as was happening before.

to be honest I was just surprised that the truecall box managed to do that...

But yes, the main issue here does seem to be the sharing of sensitive information and also the ongoing barrage of abusive language within the thread... all of which has originated from the dislike of enforcement of forum guidelines.

Anyway, I'm trying to get through to Plusnet COT... so got bigger things to worry about like my battery going dead before having my call answered frown

UPDATE: Ha, Plusnet answered the phone in record time, 6mins.... then where very polite and friendly which has been something I've not heard from Plusnet for some time... and then told me they owed me money... hehe smile

Line Ceased Though...

All perfectly fair enough Bob. I stated the reason I checked them out was because I was away from home. I did not see a problem with posting the numbers here. After all, the first one I posted was answered as BT Home and many contact numbers have been posted here. My initial reason for posting, if folks look back, was to state it may be a way for some to contact BT, as folks like me with their line away from BT are often not recognised. I have often been kicked out of a call or web search for BT services. Petty rules or not, there is no need for the abuse thrown at me, or for the powers that be to sit back and do nothing. We both know that if I was the one calling someone a loser, I would be banned.

And you wonder why no one likes you? Unbelievably stupid, ignorant and rude. Bet your family are really proud of you?

Fighting is NOT tolerated

Opportunity was given on deleting original post to allow poster to have their say, but alas things have gone the way they so often do.

You ask why you keep being suspended, you may feel it is fine to express your opinion of someone using a phrase such as 'The six stone wet through anorak with his computer balls don't bother me' is reasonable, but it is a clear attack on others with a view to escalating a situation for entertainment purposes.

What was a simple case of deletion of a post due to it infringing the posting of personal information rules has escalated and while opportunity and time was given for a variety of parties to calm down and act sensibly it seems that people refuse to learn, so thread closed and suspensions have been handed out.
