So I've been following this thread from work when it's been quiet (which isn't often!) and have had my application with Openreach for about a year now. Finally I get an email today from Laura asking me to apply in my local area and complete the initial details, then the situation assessment (PASS!) and now it's a video interview??!! Whatever happened to meeting suitable candidates face to face?

Does anyone have any guidance on the video interview they can help me with?

Bit disappointed with the starting wage. I'm making more than that as a call centre monkey at the moment!

We or at least I never did a video interview maybe its a new process? I imagine after the video interview you go to the assessment day.

I had a phone interview then assesment day and an offer. I think the new wage is too weed out people who are really interested by the sounds of it they have had problems with people starting doing the training getting paid for it and then quitting, also depends where you are in the country for a complete entry level job that has quite a few opportunities I think its a fair wage for the first year!

Lots of the questions I had on the phone interview were things like how much do you weigh etc lol also a few customer service scenarios.

Also hope the new news about Openreach becoming a limited company completely separate from BT does not affect us! I would have thought they would have planned for this anyway?
