Exchange only line identification

[link to this post]

I searched a friend's number on the BT DSL check and it came back showing the exchange (STONEHAVEN) but no cabinet number. Does this mean it's an EO line? There were no fibre options available, I'm sure there is in Stonehaven generally though.

That's the usual indicator, assuming the number is with a BT WLR service (if a LLU operator number i.e. with TalkTalk or Sky) then the checkers can be a bit vague sometimes.

They may have an EE phone line but a check using the address gives the same result anyway. They're in the town centre, a couple of streets from the exchange. Looks 99% certain then. As for their hope of fibre broadband, 99% "no chance"?

Another new PCP due not too far from the exchange.
