Tinyproxy on my router

Hi Everyone,

I have a BT Smart Hub 6 (firmware v. SG4B1000E020) and browsing to 192.168.1.254:8888 from my mobile gives a Bad Request error:

"You tried to connect to the machine the proxy is running on"

Generated by tinyproxy version 1.8.4

Nevermind the error, but is tinyproxy supposed to be running on my router at all?

Possible a 'Secure' web browser like TOR (and others) using it.

I noticed on one of my 8 web browsers that you can choose 'Private' mode and I think that goes through a 'proxy server' But not sure as never used it.

You could always block it in your router settings if you are worried, then something you use may stopped working.

Private mode on a browser that is also using a proxy server WILL NOT be using a proxy server based in your own router.

BT Smart Hub 6, so it would be for 'Fon', BT WiFi that any BT customers can use, unless it's been disabled.
