G.network getting permit from Council

[link to this post]

Hello,

In my neighbourhood, there is no provider able to give me anything above 10Mbps except g.network (so far, I am surviving on a 5G dongle, but it really is just surviving).
Neighbours have g.network and they are happy with it, getting close to 900Mbps.

g.network very quickly came to survey my property, requested permission from landlord to drill one hole, and got it signed just fine, and now they are asking for a permit from the Council to make some minor works on the sidewalk to get the fibre closer to my house.
And I have been waiting for two and a half weeks now. And when asked about it, they say they are "waiting" for the Council.

Do you believe there is something I can do? should I go ahead and start chasing the Council myself?

Don't get involved in the permit chasing. Leave it up to G.Net - they will get the appropriate street works license as needed from the local authority to complete the work.

Th only people you need to chase on a weekly basis for an update are G.Network.

BT have just replaced the telephone cable under my neighbour's garden. It took best part of a month to get the necessary permissions then the workmen in to do the job. You just have to be patient.
