Samsung Syncmaster 2243nw

[link to this post]

I bought one of these monitors on the weekend and the picture is amazing.

Problem is on some colors you can see like very faint rolling lines.

i was told to try uping the refresh rate but its stuck on 60hz.

Anyone have any idea?

I'd be surprised if is sync-speed issue on TFT (60 HZ is usually the normal, my 24" are both at 60Hz).

You do have the resolution set to the native of the LCD. Might also be worth looking through the menus and see if there are any options such as "vibrant"/"movie" and switching them to something like Natural and see i problem persists

Bit more info please e.g. how are you connecting the monitor to the graphics card (a digital link is likely better than VGA), what resolution is selected on the PC (same as monitor native, ideally), etc.

If you your seeing very faint lines like its slight fuzzy on on some colours this is due to how tn panels trick you into seeing 16million colours because all tn panels can't do 16million colours but only 262,000 ..

If there is some sort of auto-adjust option in the menu, use it. Also as mentioned make sure its set to its native resolution, and use dvi if it has one and your card supports it.

Phase clock needs adjusting or use DVI port.

I am not sure the monitor has a DVI connector - 2243 spec - (DVI)

In that case either DVI to VGA adapter if supported by video card or find the phase clock on the OSD. My monitor has a software app which puts a test card up on screen and you press auto which centres the screen and gets rid of any rolling lines.
