PC playing up.

A mates pc has started acting funny and not working. When you turn it on and windows begins to load up there many strings of blue lines from top to bottom of the screen and left to right and then the pc shuts down. Please help.

Could be the graphics card / chip thas has gone or if there has been an update or new software installed recently then it could be a corrupted driver.

So a new graphics card needed - ATIX1300 PRO HALF HEIGHT 256M (dell XPS 210 machine). A google search is not coming up with any prices or place to buy. Any help appreciated.

AGP or PCI-E? There's no real need to get a like for like replacement. The x1300 is quite old and and a budget new card will be just as cheap new as an x1300 is secondhand.

The Dell XPS 210 has a PCI-e slot for graphics but only has a 275watt PSU so the card you need must be low powered.

This Ati 5670 should do it.
